BIOS



Alan Atkinson        Keyboards, Trombone, and Vocals

Born in Raleigh, NC, Alan graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music Education. He is currently a Band Director in the Wake County Public School System. Alan entered the band as a trombonist and over the years has become the keyboardist/trombonist/vocalist/musical director. Alan composed the song's "Which Way To The Beach" and "My Baby Can Do It All".


Tom Bagley         Guitars, Keyboards, and Vocals

Born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tom graduated from Clayton High School. He currently owns and operates an automotive repair business in Clayton, NC. Tom is one of the founding members of the band. He was there from the start (1980)!! Tom composed one of the band's most successful originals: "You Donąt Know."


George Coghill        Drums, Vocals, and Band Manager

Born in Winston-Salem, NC, George graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. George is a sales rep for a North Carolina based Precast Concrete Manufacturing Company. He joined the band in 1990. George composed the band’s original beach song “Ashley”. George’s solid grooves make him the driving force of the band.


Cindy Ferguson        Vocals and Keyboards

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Cindy graduated from The University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music. Cindy has performed in many shows in the Chicagoland Theater circuit including: Phantom of the Opera, Evita, La Cage Aux Folles, Do Black Patent Shoes Really Reflect Up?, South Pacific, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and 42 Second Street. Cindy also played the part of Belle in the musical version of Beauty and the Beast at Walt Disney World, the Bride of Frankenstein in Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue at Universal Studios Florida, and performed at the top of Disney's contemporary resort as a lead singer in the Broadway at the Top review. In addition, Cindy lived in Tokyo Disneyland for one year to be in the Diamond Horshoe review and the Hoop De Doo Review, and traveled on a world cruise for one year with Royal Cruiselines performing a solo cabaret act. Cindy is now playing the role of "MOM" to her six year old daughter and is currently the Senior Area Director of Sales for a hotel company in North Carolina. Cindy's varied musical styles range from classical to Rhythm and Blues. She is one of the area's most sought after studio vocalists!


Dr. David McChesney        Trumpet and Vocals

Born in Wilmington, N.C., David holds Trumpet Performance and Music Education degrees from Indiana University, the University of Illinois, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Twenty plus years of performing experience range from trumpet performer at Busch Gardens (Williamsburg, VA) to Principal Trumpet of the Festival dei Due Monde in Spoleto, Italy. David is currently the Director of Fine Arts at a private School in Raleigh, NC.


Gary Stephenson      Saxophones, Keyboards, and Vocals

Born in Lincolnton, NC, Gary graduated from Wake Technical College with a Degree in Accounting. He earned his CPA Certificate in 1989. Gary, who is an alumni of Becker/Devry, currently is the owner and president of a financial and CPA services corporation in Raleigh, NC. He has been with the band since 1982!
